Dear Parents/Guardians

SOCCER

If any of you were fortunate enough to watch our senior girls play soccer against Lusitania this week, I’m sure you will have enjoyed the game as much as I did.  I believe this may have been our first ever all-girls soccer match.  We lost 1 – 0 but I think the opposition was very fortunate to have sneaked their goal in off-side.  Sportsmanship was much better than in the male soccer arena; - no-one received a yellow card and no-one’s arm or neck was bitten.

We are finding it difficult to set up matches for our Fillies Soccer team as opposition is hard to find.  However, Mrs Munenge has found one school which can give our girls a game at the younger level.  One of our parents and S.D.C. member Mr Zidan Adam is looking at designing and constructing goals for the girls’ soccer field.

Psalm Ch. 78 vs 12 – 17

“He did wonders in their fathers’ sight

in the land of Egypt, the country of Zoan:

he divided the sea and took them through it,

making the water stand up like banks on either side.

He led them with a cloud by day

and all night long with a glowing fire.

He cleft the rock in the wilderness

and gave them water to drink, abundant as the sea;

he brought streams out of the cliff

and made water run down like rivers;

But they sinned against him yet again: ...”
